Terms of Use

Effective date: July 11, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and SwipeLex regarding your use of the SwipeLex app. By creating an account or using SwipeLex, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the app. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the app only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Your account

SwipeLex requires an account. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login credentials secure, and to be responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Upload content that is illegal, infringing, hateful, or that you do not have the right to share.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its systems.
  • Use the app to harass others or to send spam, malware or other harmful material.
  • Misuse the AI or image features to generate prohibited or infringing content.

Your content

You keep ownership of the decks, cards and other content you create in SwipeLex. You grant us a limited license to store, process and display that content solely to operate the app and provide the service to you — for example, to sync it across your devices. You are responsible for the content you add, including ensuring you have the rights to any images you upload.

AI-generated suggestions

The auto-fill feature uses AI to suggest translations, examples and images. These suggestions are provided for convenience, are generated automatically, and may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing and editing them, and you should not rely on them as professional, linguistic or factual advice.

Learning outcomes

SwipeLex is an educational tool. We do not guarantee any particular learning result, score, or level of language proficiency. Your progress depends on your own effort and use of the app.

Intellectual property

The SwipeLex app, including its name, logo, design, software and original content, is owned by SwipeLex and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

Third-party services

The app relies on third-party services — including authentication providers, AI providers and image providers — and may contain content supplied by them. Your use of those features may also be subject to the third parties’ terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services or content.

Availability and changes

We are continually improving the app and may add, change or remove features, or suspend or discontinue the service, at any time. We are not liable to you for any modification, suspension or discontinuation of the service.

Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time from Profile → Account → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we are required to do so by law.

Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SwipeLex will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the app.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
